Boater Reviews
Easy access to Shem Creek for boats or kayaks. Does get quite busy at times. There is 2 boat launch spots and a nice dock to tie up to while you go park your vehicle. Free parking spaces within a short walking distance, big enough for truck and trailer, but when it's nice out, they fill up fast! Pay to park lot just across the road next to trailer parking.
Place is currently under construction but google maps won’t accept my edit. Just wanted to let others know before you waste your time like I did.
Nice place to launch boats, kayaks or canoes. Parking spots fill up on weekends and holidays but there is a shopping center with plenty of spots within walking distance.
Great kayaking experience but expect traffic at boat ramp. Pull to right side to unload then drive to park while someone waits with gear. Not easiest access but worth it once on water.
Go early and leave late. DON'T GET IN THE WATER. If you don't believe me, look it up.
