I went and visited this boat ramp in order to plan a trip in the next week or two. I was nearby so I stopped in to check it out. It is very well-maintained and has great parking and plenty of room. It is set on a little lake off of the Savannah River so there is no current. There’s a really nice fishing dock for you to tie up while you gear your boat up.

I was pleasantly surprised when I looked up this boat ramp on Google earth and saw that is doesn't go right into the Savannah river. I have a smaller boat and that meant that I could put in and fish the finger that the ramp goes into without having to worry about the current and such. Be fair warned that there are plenty of gators in this little area but they are all smaller and don't mess with you at all. The approach to the initial landing is somewhat steep, there is a large turn around area and plenty of trailer parking. The approach to the water is also somewhat steep so be aware of your vehicles capabilities before you attempt this ramp. There is a large metal walkway and dock that can accommodate several boats as well as people that want to fish from it. On top of the hill there is plenty of car parking, a small park and bathrooms. I will definitely be going back.

STAY PAID REGARDLESS

This place is so beautiful after going to a few different places and having such bad experiences we discovered this place the people are so nice. There is so much parking and even if the parking lot at the ramp gets crowded, there is a park just a walk distance away the boat ramp is huge. The dock is very long and can hold about 10 boats depending on the size if they’re bigger boats than maybe about six, but no one stays at the dock for long they’re just loading and going, but the scenery is beautiful and we have such an amazing time. Every time we go out there I highly recommend this place to anyone for local boating.

A lot of room for parking up front. Plenty of room for backing down your boat. People do fish off the floating. Very easy to get in and out of the water with your boat

Chesapeake Gustin

Nice boat ramp, can get busy on the weekends so get there early so you don't have to wait. Large turn around area.
