Boater Reviews
I am a kayaker, and I use this ramp mostly in the Fall, Winter and Spring to avoid times when there is a lot of motorized use. During those calm times, I really like to launch from this ramp because I can paddle up the narrow section of the lake, quite a ways down the lake - often 1hr there and 1hr back. During those times there is very limited competition to use the ramp - during busy days it is a bit overwhelming to use this ramp as a modest little kayaker. :-)
My go to ramp for falls lake. I have a fairly heavy cabin cruiser, and use a two wheel drive diesel truck. The ramps are not very steep, and even when wet, I have zero problems retrieving.
Very nice place to stop and watch the boats launch, take a hike, or bring your pet with you.
This is a great boat ramp. We went off-season so it was free. May use the free one 5 minutes up the street in season to avoid paying. The thing I like about here is it’s not too busy and the people who launch here are friendly and helpful. We are new at this and everyone was understanding. This place has a restroom on site.
Great boat launch. Never a wait.
