Boater Reviews
This place is nice but very limited on bank fishing space which was the reason I went. The parking lot is open. The fishing dock is small and in the corner. You only have a small window to throw from unless you want to toss it right around the dock. Seen a bunch of minnows and maybe some shad flipping around. Seen 2 fish by the dock big enough to bite something like a small red worm. The boat ramp itself looks to drop off into a extra few feet of water. From a local that came down while we were there, he and his wife said that the water was low at the moment. Another thing about this area, it may be peaceful but it also mean trouble. My young lady was getting something from the trunk & a SUV slowly went close to the car and was looking suspicious. This was during the day also, so make sure you are attentive, especially if you go there at night.
This is a secret gem. We are new to the area and we're just looking for a place to pop in the water with a kayak. We loved being on the water here! So serene, felt like meandering down a bayou. We didn't go out onto Lake Moultrie, but we were on the edges of it (it was a little rough today and we were just there for a short leisurely time) and we look forward to going out further next time. There were others hanging out on the little dock, and a couple people fishing. It's a small area but decent amount of parking. Boat landing is pretty smooth. We did hear from a regular that there's a gator who hangs out there, so if you're in a kayak, try to stay away from the edges of you can (where it hangs out).
Nice - off the beaten path - put in. Dirt drive and parking area, plenty of parking space. Concrete ramp with room on the side to put in paddle craft. We did see a cottonmouth on the road one evening.. watch your step.
Love this boat ramp. Huge. Clean. Safe.
Clean place low traffic easy access. Ramp is good for small boats only. There is no dock available. There is a small Sandy place to dip your feet in water. Careful there are old posts in water from previous dock if you wander to much in water. Brought dog there too acclimate to water, being quiet made it perfect.
